Our Executive Secretariat continues at full steam!
On Friday, June 9, 2023, the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Masonic Confederation, Geraldo Macedo, accompanied by the General Director of its Permanent General Secretariat, Rubens Franz, arrived in Barranquilla, the port city that is the capital of the Atlantic Department of Colombia and where the headquarters of the Gran Logia Nacional de Colombia based in Barranquilla are located.
Received by the Grand Master, Enrique López Munárriz, and members of the Board, the Executive Secretary participated, in the morning, in a dialogue with this and other Grand Masters: Alfredo Flores (Gran Logia de Córdoba), Henry Calderón (Gran Logia Benjamin Herrera) and Reymundo Rafael Ferrer Bolivar (Gran Logia Nacional de Colombia based in Cartagena de Indias).
In the afternoon, Brother Geraldo gave a lecture about the CMI, its history, structure, operation, current programs and projects for the future, to the Masonic authorities present and several brothers from that jurisdiction.
On Saturday, June 10, 2023, Brother Geraldo Macedo traveled to Cartagena, capital of the Department of Bolívar, and headquarters of the next Grand General Assembly of the CMI, to take place between April 18 and 21, 2024. The purpose of the visit was to get to know the local facilities and advance in the planning of the event.
We appreciate the customary hospitality of our Colombian brothers and their willingness to work on behalf of Freemasonry in general and the CMI in particular.
