CMI in the 95th anniversary of the Grand Lodge of the State of Bahia (Brasil)

Brother Geraldo Macedo, Executive Secretary of the CMI, was present at the events commemorating the 95th anniversary of the Grand Lodge of the State of Bahia, in the city of Salvador. Among the items on the schedule, on Friday, 05/20/22, there was a Conference of Grand Masters of the CMSB, which brings together the 27 regular Brazilian Grand Lodges.

On the morning of Saturday, 05/21/22, an Investiture to the 33rd degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite took place, conducted by the Illustrious Brother Jorge Luiz de Andrade Lins, Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of the 33rd Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for the Federative Republic of Brazil, a ceremony attended by the Executive Secretary, Geraldo Macedo, and several authorities and Grand Masters, in addition to Brother Gaetan Mentor, Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of Haiti.

On Saturday afternoon, the General Assembly of GLEB took place, of public character and commemorating its 95th anniversary, attended by hundreds of brothers, their wives, sons and daughters, as well as civil and military authorities. And in the evening, a dinner dance was offered, with live music.

In addition to the Brazilian Grand Lodges, delegations from Grand Orients confederated to COMAB and from the Grand Orient of Brazil were also present at the celebrations. And the CMI is proud to be an institution in which all these different Brazilian Masonic strands are brought together, with dozens of others from all over America, the Caribbean and Europe, in favor of a common goal.
