On the night of last Friday, February 4, 2022, the Executive Secretary of the CMI, Geraldo Macedo, while attending an initiation at the Hikmat Temple of the Shriners International, in Cuiabá, Brazil, was surprised by his appointment as Ambassador of the Temple for South America.
On Saturday, the 5th, he participated in the investiture of 48 brethren in the 33rd degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, also in the Cuiabá Valley. The ceremony was conducted by the Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of the 33rd Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for the Federative Republic of Brazil, Most Illustrious and Powerful Brother Jorge Luiz de Andrade Lins, accompanied by his entourage.
It is excellent to witness the growth and development of High Degrees and international Masonic Orders throughout Latin America, especially in Brazil, even in the face of the current pandemic. This is a powerful sign that the base, which is Symbolic Freemasonry, is strong and stable, and the CMI reinforces its commitment to collaborate so that it continues on this path.
